Being stubborn is always a bad thing! In fact, being stubborn could be the secret to living a longer and healthier life.

So, what exactly are the secrets of longevity you may ask? According to a new study released by the International Psychogeriatrics, stubborn people and those who have strong personal ties to things like family and religion tend to live longer.

The results of the study concluded that the oldest residents of Italy had quite a few things in common including good work ethic, cheerfulness, love for their families, pride for their country, and lastly a large amount of resilience and stubbornness. Participants of the study included a group of Italians that aged anywhere from 90 to 101 years old, as well as their children and other family members.

Overall, the study suggests being stubborn could actually help you live longer.
